What is my recovery seed?
It is a set of words generated by your device that acts as a backup to your wallet. Keep it offline, private, and stored somewhere secure. Never enter it on a computer or share it with anyone.
What if my device is already set up?
If you did not initialize the device yourself, reset it and begin again using the official instructions. Never use a recovery seed supplied by someone else or pre-filled on a card.
Can Trezor Support ask for my recovery seed?
No. Your recovery seed is private. Trezor Support will never ask you to disclose it, enter it on a website, or send it in a message.
